Car stereo remote

w/o steering wheel controls on my 2000 i gotta ask how how you use your remote? I like not having to reach to the HU to adjust stuff but i cant find a good place to have the remote handy.

I have a remote for mine but never used it cause the HU is just as close and easier to use. I can't really see the point of having a remote except for rear seat passengers.

as awkward as people think it is, i only use my remote...

i usually drive with it in my hand constantly, (a.d.d. so i change the song constantly.)

but when im not holding it, its in the center under the arm rest, or in that little cubby of an "ash tray" next to the cigarette lighter.

ive thought about doing a simple Velcro addition, but i havnt decided where i would put it.

I hate to admit that I do the same. I'm constantly changing the song or the station the few times I actually use the radio. I have found that a little double sided sticky, like what is used to by 3M for the hooks on walls, works well. I usually just stick it right where my hand naturally falls on the center console or onto the passenger seat.

It's not that I can't reach the HU, but I guess I appreciate not having to adjust in the seat to make that reach.

I also use mine all the time. I'm taller so I have to sit back further from the HU...makes it awkward to reach up and change the songs, which I do constantly. I've had remotes for every aftermarket HU in all the different vehicles I've had. I'd be upset if mine didn't come with one.
