Cargo cover help

I just scored a cargo cover off craigslist for $20. I have a '97 and the cover was from a '97 also. I knew I had the mounting brackets in my cargo area already, so I figured it would slide right in. Wrong. It looks like the cover itself is missing an additional bracket. Are these pieces sold seperately? The only mounting pieces/brackets I'm finding are the ones that are already bolted up in my cargo area.

Looks like someone covered the ends with some kind of tape.

Based on this picture I found in another thread, I think I'm missing a piece. There looks to be the main bracket that is bolted to the cargo area, then the piece that actually fits into that I don't have.

As you can see you are missing the end caps. These end caps each contain a spring which controls the mechanism for retracting the shade. You can refer to the thread started by one of my customers about reassembling these for more details.

As far as I know you cannot buy these end caps separately. In fact it is hard to find them not broken or chipped. Furthermore, the driver-side and passenger-side are not interchangeable. I would try to contact the seller and return the shade. It is almost worthless without the end caps.

So from my understanding of the reassembly, the end caps would have actually been disassembled and thoughtfully removed from the cover? I was trying to give the seller the benefit of the doubt by assuming they were accidently left behind when the cover was originally removed from the vehicle.
