cargo liner for rear sliding tray

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but here are pix with the liner installed and the secret compartment. If you look very carefully you see that tiny little bump at the edge of the compartment and the end of the tray? That's the lip I'm talking about.



This is with the door open, the liner doesn't really get in the way of anything IMO??



PLEASE don't make fun of me for having the carpet mat on top of the liner, I like to protect while I protect. Actually, I just keep it there because if I put it anywhere else it would be lost. I have my carpet floor mats on top of my Weathertechs too! LOL :tape:

I can attest that 1800 pounds of cargo scattered on and around the sliding tray will, in fact, break it. Mine has been jammed in the fully retracted position for months now.

Lol, I was just kidding about protecting my protection. I just seriously have no where to put it besides the garbage, and the cheapass inside of me refuses to throw it out until I mess it up. Plus, I figured it would come in handy if I needed to lay down on the ground or something on the side of the road, so I left it in the trunk

Here is what I did:
1. Removed the carpet mat
2. Put the liner on the tray
3. Rolled up the carpet
4. Took it to the trash.

If I saved all the stuff I THINK I could use later I would need a building the size of several football fields I am sure.

I just bought a 13 Limited and I probably researched what kind of mat to use on the sliding tray more than anything else on the entire truck. Prior to this vehicle I had an 07 Limited with the fold up cargo shelf, and although I love Weathertech (I had the floor liners front and back, and have them in my new 5th gen as well) it always bothered me that it never fit quite right. The edges never quite lined up, they folded over sometimes. Functionally it was great, but aesthetically it wasn't so hot.

I work for a dealer group that has a Toyota store, so when I ordered the 5th Gen, I called the Parts Dept and talked to one of the guys who recommended the OEM all weather cover for the sliding tray. Here are some photos installed...

Overall I'm much happier with the fit of this one than I was the weather tech in my 4th Gen. The corners might pop up from time to time and its probably a bit thinner than the Weathertech or the Husky, but its molded and looks much better IMHO. I put it to the test today with 3 bags of soggy potting soil that leaked all over it. A little garden hose action and she's good as new again.

I don't have the part # on hand at the moment, but if anyone needs it I'll be happy to call the dealer in the morning and get it.

I have the Maxliner version on mine and it works great. Looks pretty close to the Husky one, but costs less. It's not made in the USA, but neither was my 4Runner so whatever....

Should be the same. The sliding tray hasn't changed at all.

I ordered one like the "4runner" one posted in this thread and I didn't care for it and promptly returned it. Currently using the husky liner from my old '06, throw a tarp back there when seats are folded down or old bed sheets if I'm hauling wood etc... If I was serious about keeping it neat and clean and protecting the interior I'd look into the canvasback. Probably the best coverage esp for the sliding tray.

I saw that canvasback, currently it looks like the best solution for my needs as well. I just ordered Marathob seat covers for all the seats so once the arrive, I should be covered, no pun intended....

Still try to order it and see what they say. Perhaps the parts department at the dealership I tried messed up. Also, there's a chance they may even have it in stock.

Good starting reference but unless you do it, no aftermarket install and from what I've read, dealerships are no help. If you want one try the for sale section. One every once in a while someone takes out. Just be sure you get all the parts.
