Cargo Liners

Hi,

I'm looking for a cargo liner for my 04, it has the DD system.

What is a good one to get? I'm looking on the web, and there are so many different types, and none of them really describe how they work with the DD system.

I would like one that has the lip all the way around to protect against spills.

Anyone have any photos of the ones they have?

I purchased a form fit Husky liner for the cargo area #2576. I ordered the one with the double decker, but here is a catch. It will fits fine on the top of the tray when the shelf is down. It CAN fit under the shelf, but will be about a foot too long, which means it has to roll up the back of the shelf in the back. You can't see it rolled up under the shelf, but just to throw that out there.

As much as I like the mats to hold mud, rain, snow, etc., I hate the way that things slide around on the smooth surface. I get in a habit of trying to wedge things in the corners to try and keep them stationary, but they will manage to work free and start slamming around in back on every turn.

I also bought a Weathertech mat that I used for the top of the shelf when I had the shelf in position. This mat fit perfectly on the top and had small pieces of velcro on the bottom to keep it in place. I don't have the number for this one, but they have a chart on the website to find the exact number.

Keep in mind that these things aren't cheap. I think I spent around $80 for the Husky and about $70 for the Weathertech.

BTW, I have Weathertech liners in the front and rear seats and will never go without them again. They fit great and work even better!

I'd have to agree with the Husky Liner and things sliding around. My only complaint. But I do have the husky liners for front and rear seats, and I like them alot. Stay fit, does well..
 
I use a Weathertech cargo liner. It also lets some stuff slide around, but not nearly as bad as the Husky Liners I had in the F150.

To stop the sliding, I installed one of the things you put under a rug to keep it from sliding on a hardwood floor -- they are in the home improvement stores in the carpet section. I think it was $10 or so.

I know that the link was for the weathertech liner, but the husky liner is almost identical except that the husky liner extends in to the far corners of the cargo area where the tie downs are. There are even little rectangles you could cut out of the husky liner if you still want access to the tie downs. Remember that the liner that I bought, referenced in my previous post, is meant to be placed on the shelf when the shelf is in the down position.

The weathertech liner that I bought for the top of the shelf, was just a rectangular mat with the 1" lip and fit perfectly on the shelf. I cannot remember what the model for that one was.

I may take some pictures tomorrow if I have some time.

Weathertech makes two liners for the DD cargo. The one I posted the link for is the bottom. This one ( http://www.weathertech.com/store/Sh..._group_id=1&item_id=7399&item_opt_choice_id=3 ) is for the top.

I only use the one on the bottom. For the top, I bought a piece of carpet runner at Home Depot and cut it to fit. Cost less than $10, versus the $80 plus shipping for Weathertech.

When I use the cargo area with the DD shelf down, I simply move the bottom liner on top of the shelf and it works fine.

I suspect Husky is similar.
 
As promised...

Here is the pick of the husky liner (#2576), which is on TOP of the shelf when the shelf is lowered. It is a perfect fit...

... and how nicely it fits into the corners. As mentioned before (and it is even stated in the instructions), that you could cut out the rectangle in the corner where the tie down is if you still need access to it. I never did, because I feel that would be defeating the purpose of those mats. Those corners are the lowest spot and if it fills up with water, there goes the carpet.

With the shelf in the up postion, look at the extra length that you have to account for by rolling it up the back of the shelf. Another model may fit this properly, but I never checked since the shelf is almost always down. The mat still works and you don't really notice it, but it is something to consider if you use the shelf up regularly. For the record, I'm holding the shelf up to get a picture.

Here is the picture of the Weathertech mat and the Husky on the bottom (rolled up under the shelf). I can't remember the model number for the Weathertech, but it was purchased strictly for the top of the shelf.

Part number varies by color. They are all on the Weathertech site -- just go to http://www.weathertech.com and enter your vehicle information on the left of the screen. Click "cargo liners" on the left and part numbers are there.
 
Great pics for the liner. Husky shoud hire you for marketing. I need to get one soon so I don't cr@p up my back area. Thanks for the inside scoop.:p

Unfortunately, I'm not making any $$ for pushing their products. I'm just a happy customer.

It's nice to get an unbiased opinion on any product and the pics are just icing on the cake.

I also have the same husky liner for the back and am very happy with it. Just curious...Pennywise, why didnt you get the gray to match your interior?

Honestly, I really don't remember why I got the black mats. I can't even try to make something up. :confused:

I also got the black Husky floor liners in my gray interior. I did it because when I put the gray ones in, the grays did not match; so I went back in and traded for black. My interior has a lot of black accents and my seats are dark grey. I thought it looked better.
