Cargo Mats

I want to purchase a rubber cargo mat and was wondering what is the best kind to get. I was looking at the custom Highland Mats. Has anyone used those or does anybody have anything thing else in mind that might work/look better.

I just installed husky floor liners in my '05. I'm very happy with them. Perfect fit and quality build. Cheaper than weathertech.

I have the highland on my 1999. I went with the Husky on my 2007. The reason for the switch is the the recessed groove pattern on the highland is impossible to clean with a quick wipe down like you can do with the husky diamond plate pattern. The highland needs to be removed and hosed off to really clean it up. With the husky you can give it a quick spritz and wipedown while in place to clean it up nicely. The highland is very high quality just harder to clean. In it's defense I believe the pattern is such that any water will drop below surface level to keep stuff on the surface dryer or cleaner.

Thank you. That is some really helpful stuff. I didn't even think about how hard it would be to clean. If anybody else has other opinions let me know.

I agree that Weathertech is, in my opinion, the better product. But I would not say that Husky is a close #2. I had such a bad experience with Husky -- both the product and the company -- that I will never allow them in one of my vehicles again.

So that you don't need to seach, I had their floor liners in my F150. If your feet were wet at all, the liners were very slippery. I called Husky to see if there was something I could do about it, and they accused me of spraying them with Armor-All (which, of course, I'm not dumb enough to do).

Needless to say, I have the Weathertech liner in the 4Runner.

I agree 100%; however, I was merely trying to avoid some of the infamous "right side of the fence" members here who might feel Husky is better (when most can attest that weathertech far surpasses them).

I agree with the floor liner being crap but the cargo liner works fine.

I think I am going to go with the Weathertech cargo mats. Toyota already gave me the rubber floor mats when i purchased the car the other day. The Weathertech look nice too. Now the question is to go with the Black or Tan. I have a shadow mica exterior with taupe interior.

I have the WeatherTech mats for both the front and rear seats. I have the tan/taupe interior and the weathertech is quite close in color. Its not exact, but I think it looks fine and probably better than black.

I got the xteme cargo mat for the rear cargo area. I liked the small lip (the larger husky one was kind of annoying for the dog) better. I got it in black because its gonna get dirty all the time anyways.

You probably can't go wrong with most of these, but I do recommend the weathertech mats from my experience.

this has been discussed to death on the boards. do a search for 'weathertech' and you'll find a lot of discussion and polls for which ones people prefer.

weathertech for me. they are well worth the money to keep my car clean and protected on the inside.

I just yesterday removed my weathertech and sprayed them out after 2 weeks getting to Alaska. carpet perfect weathertechs nasty and now back in form

Are there any cargo lines for the 4Runners that dont have a huge lip? I looked at the Xtreme one, and it still has a lip (not as big as the Husky and Weathertech one though) Does anybody have a picture of the Xtreme cargo liner in the 4Runner?
