Cargo Net help needed

I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but how do I hook up the cargo net in my new 2004 LTD. The Owners Manual doesn't provide any help. I want it to hold groceries and other small items in a pouch fashion.

The net has two clips that obviously attach to the rear tiedowns and four elastic loops on the opposite side that attach in some way to the round knobs on each side of the cargo area. But I haven't been able to find a combination that makes a pouch.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a good question. I tried several configurations like you did but to no avail.

The net you described is not capable of shaping into "pouch like". The bag you described is a "spider" net that spreads across the top shelf of your double-decker cargo system (DDCS). You've probably figured this out already but the he 2 plastic hooks attach to the metal loops directly behind the 2nd row seat. And the 4 elastic loops attach underneath the top shelf of the DDCS.

Now there is another net that is available from Toyota on online known as the "envelope" net. This one is more like what you need and attaches vertically in the rear cargo area. It is very useful to keep things from falling out the back when you open the rear door and it does hold groceries and small items in a "pouch like" manner.

Thanks much. I guess I just don't have the net that I thought I had. I'll order the pouch net.

The net is designed to fit over the double decker cargo unitwhen it is flat or up. . The hooks attach to the rings just behind the rear seats. The other 4 attach underneath the cargo unit. Lift up on the unit and feel underneath and you will find 4 hooks to attach the net. Hope this helps.
