Cargo Rails and Fridge Tie Down... $13.00

I've gone back and forth on drawers, cargo floor and the like on my 2016 TRDP for an upcoming Mexico trip....

This will either be seen as genius or it'll be jury-rigged at best. I happen to like it, and for $13.00 (Including a $2.00 roll of electrical tape...because black), I'm gonna go with it:

1/2" conduit and 1/2" u-bolts. Surprisingly solid, and the fridge is locked in. Plus, I can use cam straps to tie down other gear, and the floor stays clear for daily driver duties....

Dry run for Mexico next weekend...but I'm thinking it'll hold up just fine!

For a non permanent use, I like it. If it doesn't work out on your trip, you wasted $13, big deal. Next time you can try something else. If it does work, Report back!

Just an update on the rails...

It's now done 8000 miles consisting of Baja, the entire Mojave Road, trips to several back o beyond hot springs, and a few hundred miles of Death Valley.

No problems whatsoever, and the fridge and cargo stay firmly strapped down, even under washboard and technical road sections.

Excellent $13 mod.
