Carpet Replacement Question

I've decided to replace the carpet in my 2005. I ordered the replacement from stockinteriors.com as suggested in the thread below. My question is whether the replacement comes with the plastic channel along the edge or do I need to remove that from the old and reattach it to the new. If so, any suggestions how to reattach.

The channel holds the rear washer hose on the passenger side. If that isn't protected you end up where I began the whole replacement process, with a gallon of washer fluid absorbed in the carpet pad.

you will need to remove that black plastic piece for the new carpet. I have done this before. Its great to get that old dirty carpet out. Will you be adding sound deadening material. I can also say that Im done with carpet and I just ordered the vinyl replacement from stockinteriors for my current 4th gen. Its black and I will never have to deal with shitty carpet again! I should have it next week.

you can use a staple gun to attach the plastic but it really does not need attaching just there to hold up the carpet a bit. FOr sound deadening buy some fatmat or dynamat. and some rubber vinyl
