My understanding is that there is only the silver right now but there are plans on doing a black version.

Well if I go to the webpage the drop down for color has black and silver. Looks like black is available.

Fit and finish looks good (even with the paint color being off a little), but it looks like it needs a faster processor and more ram

-there is a silver and black color available. the silver is not a 100% to the surroundings
-lead time is about 3 days

As promised, I confirmed the color of the black is in fact flat / matte black. Attached is a picture that was sent to me directly from the manufacturer.
Also - please be courteous and make me aware if someone is reaching out to you via private message and trying to poach you for sales of this unit. I’ve been made aware of at least one attempt. I’ve invested a lot of my time and effort trying to negotiate prices on both this unit as well as the pro replica grills. I’m not a fan of dirty rats and will ensure those identified will be reported to the admins/moderators.

What do you mean by poaching sales? That seems to imply you have a financial interest in this, are you getting a cut of the sales?

Since I’ve been working with the manufacturer to negotiate lower prices for the group buy and my desire to snag a unit to help identify issues, I didn’t receive a cut of anything except a small discount on the unit I purchased.
As I stated in the other threads, the reason I wanted to help the T4R guys out is because I had multiple friends burned by online Amazon and eBay sellers. CarTrimHome was the first company that I saw constant positive things about and who I was able
to actually communicate with - they have a desire to tap into the 4R market and if we all benefit by requesting replica or products better than OEM at a discount, then I’ll continue to do this.
I shouldn’t have said “sales”. You can navigate directly to their website and enter the same code that I shared (now making its way on FB) and snag the same unit for the same price that’s I’ve shared. I’ve only partnered with them to lower the price (temporary).
TLDR - Yes, I did receive a discount on the head unit (not yet received) to help test it as a consumer after stumbling upon it on their website and no one on T4R having ever seen anything about it before (the purpose of this thread).

Nice! Did you go with black or silver? My unit in transit is silver but I wish I would have waited for black.
I’ve seen a few guys on FB say it took them about thirty minutes to install but I have no insights into their level of knowledge on this type of stuff. My guess would be the hardest part is removing the panels around the existing unit since the rest is just plug and play?
I got a notification this morning that they now also include an Apple CarPlay adaptor based on feedback from other testers. That’s promising.
