Carveacre Trail / Pancake Rock CLOSED

It's official, Carveacre Trail / Pancake Rock is now closed. SD Jeepin crew went for a run on Fri April 20 and the gate was closed and locked. SD Jeepin president, Kevin has talked to the head of City of San Diego Public Utilities department (who put the gate up) and the reason why it was closed was due to abuse, off trail driving, trash and graffiti. Kevin is working at gettting together a plan for a Adopt-A-Trail program. So far there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Here's hoping you guys can work something out to keep that and other trails open. It can never be overstated the impact stupidity and thoughtlessness has on our sport--a couple morons that don't see anything wrong with their antics can ruin it for thousands that do it right.

You scared me...that is one of my favorite local trails. It is bad enough that they built a house and closed off the end.

I need to get back up there asap.
