I am gonna be installing some whiteline LCA bushings soon and deciding whether I should get OEM toyota or Spc alignment bolts? Is this something that spc upgraded well on or is oem bolts gonna hold my alignment better?

The SPC ones comes with a plastic sleeve to prevent seizing of the bolt to the inner sleeve of the bushing. I used OEM and just put a slurry mix of grease and anti-seize. If your bolts aren't seized and the adjustment eccentrics aren't too rusted, you can just clean them up and reuse them. Of course there is nothing like new parts though.

The SPC's have the plastic sleeves I don't like that so their a no go.
OEM are good though they do rust causing issues, never align no problem.
Risking being banned, Moog because you can grease them preventing
the problems that rust brings with it. Used them now for 10 yrs never slip.

Perma-ban for promoting a Moog product :lmao:

I run the SPCs but ran into some slippage issues. You must tq them over spec and have a higher rated tq spec than OEMs. They don't slip on me anymore but that being said I would go with OEM.

I've done the same as John. When I have been forced to cut out cam adjuster sleeves for LCA bushing replacement, I have slathered the OEM replacements with anti-sieze with the hope that they never have the chance to rust into the sleeve of the bushing. And like John, when the cam adjusters do come out, I clean them up with some emery cloth and reuse them. The cam adjusters aren't cheap, so if they're still intact, it's absolutely fine to reuse them and save yourself some money.

In case you haven't seen the videos infamousRNR and I have made on this subject, here's some links. Be sure to read the video descriptions and pinned comments for more helpful info. Good luck with the job!

Hi All. First post.

I replaced the front LCA bushings on my 2000 4Runner SR5 with Whiteline, and bought the SPC alignment cam kits from Wheelers. These alignment cams suck. They cam plate is too small and doesn't stay put, even with 150 ft./lbs. of torque as recommended by SPC. To top it off, the inner cam plates don't track quite the same as the outer plates. I've checked and re-checked the installation, but I can't get them to work like they should. I think they're poorly manufactured. I can't even get the truck out of the driveway without the alignment going completely whack with massive positive camber and toe in. They are coming off when the $200 set of OEM cams arrives. *ouch* I had to cut out one of the old cams and the others were thrashed and not reusable save for one of the 4. I had preemptively ordered the SPCs because I figured there would be some casualties since the truck is 23 years old. It was built in October 1999.

I'll be asking for a refund on these SPC cams.

EDIT: I should add that the cam tabs are not bent. The factory cam plates touch both of them, but the SPC cam plates do not. They are definitely under-sized.
