Castrol Edge contest

signed up and voted, the comments on your page are stupid man, i used to consider myself a jeep guy but never acted like that about SOB's (some other brand) i feel embarrassed to have ever even been a jeep guy with that sort of shenanigans, just tell it like it is, 4runners don't break or have electrical issues but seriously aren't as good for hard core wheeling, jeeps build quality sucks and has massive issues just trying to keep them running but are great if you strip them down and build them back up.

that said the guy creating beef doesn't have a hard core wheeler anyways, he has some mild mods imo when it comes to the wrangler body style, cj,yj ect

it's just stupid childish b.s., i can see getting in a heated debate if the points are valid but the thing they are staying is just dumb red neck trash talk gleaned from the circle jerk behind the barn on ol 'barney fifes jeep wrangler, lol

i voted you up and him down and took the time to make a full page, same screen name as here.
 
haha thanks. this is crazy. I am calling all cars here, help me trump this ****. I'm leaving all the nonsense he wrote on my wall for all to see, this guy is a sheltered fanboy just no two ways around it. As little time as I've spent on this so far it chaps my ass to know he's ahead haha, help help!!

actually, I think you have to log in and go to the castrol page and give him a thumbs up.

that may be why hes behind right now. I dont think the ratings are what are used to judge the castrol competition, I think you click on the most popular and there is a thing by his name to click and it gives you a green check mark.

but ChildrenofBodom would have a better idea, considering he won.

I mean ranking his 4runner Im sure is nice, I dont think it impacts the competition though
 
yep, theres a thumbs up to vote for that ride on the castrol page, make sure you are clicking on the thumb to vote for him, I dont think ratings have anything to do with it

it should be right next to his name on the castrol page,

http://www.cardomain.com/id/castroledge then click on contest entries,

then there is the most popular tab, click on that and then you see ranger danger is above Miller... and next to the amount of pics each contestant has there is a thumbs up,

click it and it will become a green check mark.

thats how you vote for them for the contest.

Absolutely.

Being among the most popular ten gives you review. It does not mean at all that anyone is winning. The most popular means nothing, whether it be by a margin of 1 vote or 1,200 votes... but what do I know, I've already been through this process. You can't always be #1, and he is only the #1 spot since he rated himself up. The rules (if ANYONE read them...) are clear that if one “games” the contest, they’ll be disqualified.

I think that manipulating the contest is a lost cause, because considering they filmed my showing over a month in advance, they've most likely chosen the next winner already. Trust me, if it was you, you would know already.

Manipulating your results with all these new accounts is probably even a red flag, the editorial staff will most likely think you're trying to cheat... but I don't know.

Any who... good luck, if they want you to win, you'll win. Don't involve yourself in this sh1t or else you're asking to be disqualified along with the Jeep d0uche.

Im not really sure what makes that Jeep #1... It could be that bow tied tow strap, or maybe those car floaties he calls tires. The crayoned in "Wrangler" decals helped my confussion a lot...I really wasn't sure what the thing was before. And Im still not sure if I can wear it as a pair of pants or not. He does seem pretty proud, however, of his 4.10 axle upgrade. If my 3gen didn't come stock like that I'd do that mod too, ha. In the end it comes down to one simple fact for me...Barbie drives a Wrangler, and thats just something I cant get over.

Heres to you Miller, winner or not your rig would smoke that YJ any day...

Alright, now this is personal.

I just sent this email to the CarDomain staff.




"Not sure if this site is still used to help CarDomain users out, but here goes.

My name is James. Most know me as the first winner for the Castrol Edge Unlock Your Performance contest.

Well, since I won, there's been a 1987 Jeep Wrangler owner with the username of "greaterranger" who has been creating tons fake accounts and rating all other Castrol Edge contest contestants down. He then uses them to rate his Jeep up.

It is very obvious, each fake account is visible in greaterranger's and MillerPKA's Ratings section. Each account rates a fellow 4Runner owner MillerPKA's ride down, then becomes a fan of Castrol Edge, and votes for his ride. This is clearly visible when viewing each account's Member Lobby.

While this is exceedingly annoying, he is now beginning to rate my 4Runner down with his fake accounts. I so far have received 3 consecutive 1 star ratings from fake accounts. (I have not once had any contact with this person, so there is no personal reasoning behind this). I am starting to get very agitated as my ratings are beginning to fall and I work very hard to receive positive ratings.

Please CarDomain, if there's any sense of justice left, please remove this user! He is destroying the sanctity and the community here on CarDomain. I also hope you'll remove the ratings he left other users, and all of his fake accounts.

Some of his fake account names include, but are not limited to: grandpajim, wwrraanngglleerr, 4runnerSux, ARMYMOMMA, davelect, rakkasan187, scottD90 (a rip off of my friends forum username, JohnsD90), thatdude81, craig563, CR1984, bbsanders, armywife82705, frostedcow, 4wheelmusco, shawndogg81, chachingy, BORErunner, alohse, pecker2001, yourstupidweston, go4runner, miIIerpka (this one is actually M - i - Capital i - Capital i), jeepsrbetter, dbagmillerpka, and isaidwhatwhat."

Hope this one gets through. If not, I'm emailing the head of CarDomain who I talked to when I won the contest in the first place.
