CAT Back Question

So, it looks like I am going to have to get a new CAT. I've got a great mechanic so that price isn't going to be too bad but I'm also thinking about installing a CAT back. I've got 117K on my 03 Sport and I'm planning on eventually driving it into the ground. So, I'm wondering what impact will a new CAT back have on my T4R. Is there a performance or MPG improvement or is there something else about it? If this is something that will improve MPG and give me an extra HP boost, I'm for it but I'm not sure it is worth the money. Does anyone have any suggestions on what CAT back to get?

I'm new to this site (this is actually my fist post) and don't know many other people here or their opinions but from my experience I think it a good investment. I installed a TRD cat back and TRD headers about this time last year. I noticed a 1-2 mpg gain around town, and I noticed a 1-3 on the highway, I took a 300 mile trip as soon as I got it back and got 21 mpg on I65. It definitely has more passing power and accelerates a little faster plus I love the sound. I dont know which part contributes to this improvement more but I would recommend either or both.

What gen is your runner? I didn't know that TRD had headers for the 4runner.
