cat back

Now that I have seen the amazing results of the new air intake, I am considering a cat back system from TRD. Asking around, some think it is an overpriced waste of money, some think it is well worth it, I'm curious to see what everyone thinks and if anyone has any real experience before I sink the money into this. Thanks!

The only way to get any type of signifigant gains from our motors is to install a supercharger! Intake, catbacks, headers, ISR mod & deckplate mod all show minimal gains at best!

the intake definitely added some growl and HP, that was obvious right away. If the catback is not going to do anything but add another growl and a few more HP, then the price wouldnt make sense.

what ive learned from 35+ years of wrenching my own performance mods & having them done for me,on various vec.s, is that you really cant just slap on, lets say a set of headers & expect a 10+ hp increase, like alot of companies claim, its when you do a combination of things ,,, headers , better throttlebody, catback , intake, chips, etc. that you may see that 10+ hp increase, & lots of people think its just not worth all that $ shelled out for that little a return. unfortunetly, its like the other poster said, the only way to get a significent hp/torque increase is to super/turbocharge, & or go inside the vec. engine itself. but i do say, that if you have the $, & want to get the things you stated, do it, you may think it is worth it, its a form of individual personalization. i myself am so use to doing it, that its just the first thing done on almost everything ive owned, force of habit, sometimes its been worth it, other times not. i certainly wouldnt mind having all that money back now during these economic times. thats my 2, goodluck
