Cat replacement?

Easy question. Am towing a 6.5' x 12' trailer, and on the long inclines (only on these inclines) I'm getting the sulfur smell.

No codes, power seems good, actually (frankly, I'm impressed), and believe it or not, with that trailer and a fully loaded vehicle, pulling it through the hills of West Virginia, I'm getting 19 mpg.

So....cat replacement? Or look elsewhere?

I'm a skeptic, not of your honesty but that you are actually getting 19! You should be getting 13-14 MPG.

I know! LOL I was shaking in fear; kept telling my wife "OK, don't expect much more than 14 or so MPG." And then we get like 19 and 20 3 tanks in a row. ROFL

For the record, I 'measured' it by starting from a full tank, letting it run down until it hit the 1/4 tank line, and then filling it up again, 3x in a row. Doing that had me putting 10 gallons in the tank.

First tank - 224 miles before fill up.
Second tank - 178 miles before fill up
Third tank - 192 miles before fill up.

Average those out after division by 10, and you get 19 or so MPG.

Now, the WORST tank (between Charleston, WV and Virginia) did see me getting 14 or 15 MPG; but Missouri isn't flat either, and yet my first tank (between Rolla, MO and Belleville, IL) was the best one. *shrug*
