Sons of *****es stole my catalytic converter last saturday while parked on campus(WTF). Will I do any harm to the engine running straight pipes?

It won't harm it, if you have pre and post cat O2 sensors the EFI system won't be happy.

Sorry to hear, man! I don't think the slugs like the aftermarket cats as much as the oem's but they target Toyota's. And depending on your model (and your state) you may be able to replace just 1 (if you had/they took both).

I made these Cat skids:

Primarily for offroad protection/armor though may help with theft deterrence. If nothing else, the scums will have to work a little harder and at least I got a chance to flip em off.
Cost of material was only about $20 but I would be embarrassed to admit how long they took me to build. Was kind of a spare time project. A skilled fabricator could likely knock these out quickly.

where in Texas, and/or which campus?

The rear o2 is just to tell the ECU that the CAT is bad. It will run fine but a CEL will appear from what ive read.

Claim it on insurance.. Pay your deductible and get a check for the cost of part/labor. Then go buy a aftermarket one and have a muffler shop put it in. Chaching, payday for you cus those OEM cats are ridiculously expensive.

if your not worried about smog, strait pipe it and get spark plug defoulers for rear o2 sensor
