Catalytic Converter and or Exhaust

Hi all,

So my truck don’t pass smog. Wonderin what to do. The smog guy says I need a new Cat. Any cat suggestions and or exhaust upgrade ideas greatly appreciated. Or if there is already a great thread with all the info please send me a link!

Mine was the O2 sensor that was causing it to fail DEQ. It was an inexpensive and quick fix.

You may find a few different options on Cats. The cheap ones don't have the longevity of the OEMs. Read reviews of fitment before you buy.

MagnaFlow California direct bolt in replacement. Smog results were outstanding once I had a functioning Cat.

When I replaced my exhaust, I did an LCE long tube header with their cat and muffler set up. Not sure how much money you're looking to spend though.

Depending on the condition/wear on your engine, a high performance cat/exhaust may not be worth the money. A generic replacement would work.
