Catalytic Converter Stolen and thinking about redoing entire exhaust...

Any tips for good value/quality CA legal converter? Also was thinking of getting a muffler that gives my ride a more gutteral rumble at idle, but that is also pretty quiet at highway speed... any suggestions?

Also been a ton of cat conv. thefts here in san diego lately esp. from 4runners (90% according to exhaust shop owner), as they're easy to get under and OEM converters have a high quantity of Rhodium.

I'm in a similar boat, in that I'm looking for a replacement cat. My rig came from out of state and had/has a 49 state magnaflow cat, that isn't working anymore.

So far I've seen CARB approved units from Magnaflow (some people have had bad luck with them as of late, other people love them), Walker, and Napa.

Here's what I've found for a 98 4runner 3.4 AT:

Magnaflow Universal Cat #45105 around $260 online

Walker Universal Cat #81712 around $175 online

Napa #EXH-81712 (looks exactly like walker even uses the same number) $184 at my local Napa

Napa #EXH-93303 $159 at local Napa

Anyone use any of these?
