CB Ceiling Mount

I need to ceiling mount my CB radio.
Turns out the computer in my head unit interferes with it when I try to mount it near the dash.
So, I bought myself an under-dash mount that I will use over top of the sunglass holder in my map light console.

My question to you guys is...
I will be screwing the plastic mount to the ceiling of the car, through the headliner.
Is the roof a double layer of steel?
I was going to use short self tapping screws
but I cannot if the roof of the car is the only layer.

some places are single layer and some are double if it has a rib. you need to see behind the liner before you drill

Yeah, I'll have to figure it out once I remove the overhead map light console.

Thanks for the reply

What about using the Cobra 75WXST and mounting it under your seat?

Search headliner or roof reinforcement to see pics of someone that's removed the headliner (not sure which gen you have). The roof is basically 1 layer but has ribs running widthwise you can mount to.
