I got my Cobra 18WXSTII installed today! After much debate on whether to mount it in the rear or on the front bumper, I decided on the front. Overall Im really happy with how it fits. Let me know what you think.

Thats where I wanted it, but after talking with someone who had it in the back and then moved it to the front he said the reception is better in the front. I had several people recommend the front over the back. Although I do think it would look better in the back. Oh well!

Nice, that's gonna be helpful on the trails. I wonder how much range 18W will get up in the mountains? So are you the first of your freinds to get it, or the last? Those things always go that way...better when more folks got them, and tough sometimes to be the first.
By buddy just got an avalanche beacon for backcountry boarding, he's the first, so now the pressure is on for me to get one too! Same kind of thing. CB's on my list of wanted mods...seems kind of like a good emergancy feature for the backcountry. Of course I know someone still trying to get me to go with a HAM, that's to much dedication though...and I don't need to talk to Japan...

It didnt take too long. I think 3 hrs. But I was drilling that hole with a not so sharp drill bit and that seemed to take the most time. And the whole needed to be a 1/2" and I was using some tiny bit. lol.Alistor said:
