So I just got a Midland1001 and a 3' k40 antenna. IM trying to tune it with a cheap ass SWR meter that i bought used. I managed to get the SWR reading to be 1.5:1 on both channel 1 and 40. I cant seem to get it any lower than that. So heres the question, What can i do to get the reading lower to 1.1? Do you think the Antenna is just to short? Any help would be awesome cuz this is really starting to piss me off. OR if anyone in west Houston knows anyone that can help that would be awesome too!
