PS, for those that are not going the bumper route and want to carry an extra tire or move your from under the rig. they have these really cool hitch mounts that carry your tires, jerry cans and high mount too. and you can h ave it come with a hitch so you dont lose your trailer abilities! so that is another option too.

while i was in there shop for 4 days as the built my front bumper, I did happen to see a 4th gen already built, but not sure if that was spoken for. call Nathan after 9am mtn standard time.

I would like to order the swing away tire carrier - it sucks we have to buy this mod, Pathfinders of this Gen come with one equipped...

How does the group buy work, the more people who buy the cheaper the price or does there have to be a certain number in order to get the discount? Im sure its the former but just wanted to be sure before ordering since I have read conflicting statements on 3 different forums...

Not sure wheather to wait to see how OL's bumper comes out or pull the trigger on this one. I believe CBI's bumper swingaway uses a single shear pin, vs a double shear pin OL's should have a double.

My budget, perhaps like others here, is forever shrinking and a protected commodity. I diligently shop for any and all discounts which are a welcomed find. As others have mentioned, I too am interested in what OutdoorLogic has coming out very soon. I did take advantage of OL front bumper group buy which discounted the full order in total. Additionally, I did inquire recently with Perkins Performance for a rear bumper quote. If I recall at full retail the quote was considerable less without a discount. I've seen the Perkins bumper on 4Runit's rig, it is a real nice quality product.

I'm not rock crawling or bouncing off of trees so my needs do not warrant any extreme rigging or the best out there. All the rear bumpers I'm considering will represent and either meet or exceed my needs and level of protection for my application.

Having shown interest in this group buy on the rear bumper $749.99, I was excited to see what CBI was willing to offer. However, at 5% ($37.50), (half a tank of gas lol) or at the max discount of 15% ($112.50). and the additional add-ons at full retail no discount. It's not enough for me to commit.

Well said. Good product, didn't know that the price break didn't apply to the add-ons. Seems a little backwards to me.

i a not a rock crawler either, and though I will be doing off road. I still want to be protected. yeah for my aplication there goods might be more rugged than I need, but then again I will only have to buy once. I also was thinking of all applications. I live in Montana and we have lots of animals that like to cross the road. (front protections) we also get snow and some are still re****ed and if htey rear end me I will screw up there car more than mine being damaged. lol

for what I plan on doing and setting up my runner these are what I want and will work well for me. so I am biting the bullet as a poor college student and doing now before later.

I can assurey you as I spend 4 days in there shop watching the creation of my front bumper. I am not a metal worker so I just sit back in awe. lol

its a well built product and yes it is expensive. that is why I am trying to get the cost down as much as i can to not just help me, but others too. give CBI business, and us members a little kick back.

there are some good other companies out there. and we all have our flavor of choice. mine was closer where i can take a drive through Yellowstone, pick mine up. and head on back home. I am only 3 hrs from there shop.

anyway. best of luck on all the choices out there.
