CD won't eject/stops playing on long trips

Anyone had any issues with the Standard SR5 Radio not ejecting CDs after playing for long periods of time?

I was on a road trip this weekend and it wouldn't play or eject the CD after about 5 hours into the trip.

:bash:

The next morning the head unit worked fine. Go figure.

the Aux jack also only plays to the right channel. Could be the cable. Will test this week with another cable.

Was it a burned cd? Lexus and toyota had some tech bulletins about them being a hair to thick and getting stuck. Real CDs are usually fine.

The unit may have gotten too hot and stopped responding temporarily.

I previously had a Jeep which had this problem (usually in the winter when running the heat). I was amazed how hot the disk and unit would get to the touch. I found that running the A/C through the front defroster for a bit cooled things off enough to get the disk out...
