CEL, VSC, Trac light!

Hey guys,
Driving home from work today just cruising when my CEL light, VSC, Trac light all came on at the same damn time. So I took it by the part store and the code read p0420. I know that's pretty common code to throw. I most recently ran a bottle of fuel system cleaner through the rig and so my question is, do you guys think it's just an 02 sensor or could it be the catalytic converter? No noise is being made nor is it running funny. Any suggestions?

How can you single the 02 sensor out to be the culprit?

Replace it and see if the problem goes away?

Your vsc & track light come on anytime you cel comes on as default (some saftey mechanism). And I would go ahead and replace the O2's it can do nothing but help.

Replaced my 02 sensor and the lights came back on the next day. Guess it's my cat. **** replacing that thing at the cost they want. I'll be having Christmas lights on my dash for a while I guess

No kidding!

Before you start tossing money at something find out what the code it. Chances are the code(s) are something to do with the emissions system. There are a few codes that'll trigger the VSC and Trac lights to come on. It could be your O2 sensor, carbon canister, gas cap, or a vacuum leak.

Maybe this code, P0440?
