Where did you get the ceramic coating done?

I live very close to Front Runner.

Autoskinz in Santa Clarita. There's another guy that does ceramic (CQuartz) in Santa Clarita as well (Impression Auto Salon). Both have reasonable prices for their entry level coatings. Personally I liked the owner of Impression better, but he's always booked 2 weeks out. I'm not thrilled with the paint correction I got from Autoskinz, but I'm waiting hear back from the pics I sent them. I noticed some light swirls when viewed in direct sunlight. Overall it's a great coating though.

I'm in the same boat as you I am waiting patiently(only three weeks) since I put a 1k down payment on my cement that the dealer says should arrive the 2nd week of June.

I hope this works. Trading in my 2010 Limited that I love. I hope this isn't a dealer adding me to the list. Any ideas how to "prove" your are locked in. I am giving my deposit today. A friend suggested they could easily sell it to someone else, and when truck arrives, make up some shady remarks and sell to someone else who wants to pay higher price. Did you order from dealer or was it on allocation to dealer prior to you asking and putting down money. Thanks

They are going to have their "touch-up" guy come by the store in the morning, and make them "vanish". This is the same touch up guy that did some shady work on an FJ Cruiser I bought from them a year ago. I told them that the front bumper likely needs to be filled and repainted because the depth of the scratch, but they disagreed. Essentially, I have no leverage with people lined up behind me waiting to take the truck. If it doesn't look good or they don't knock some money off, I'll walk down the street and by a Rubicon. My patience with Toyota, and this dealership in particular, is running very thin at the moment...

Hey everyone. I want to start by thanking everyone that posted, or sent me a private message over the past few days. Everyone was a sounding board as I voiced my frustrations so thank you for that!

On a positive note, the dealership sent the truck to the body shop, and they did a phenomenal job fixing the scratches and chips on the front bumper. I looked really closely under a shop light and couldn't tell where the scratches had been. I even got the dealership to give me an extra $500 on my trade in because of the headache it caused me. I'd really like to thank Barry Brash, the sales manager that kept me informed throughout the process. I would work with him again in a heartbeat. I also brought out the future wife, and she seemed very pleased with my decision to wait for the cement TRD! Now the truck is in the detail shop, where it will be getting Llumar PPF, a ceramic coating, and window tint installed. It's been a long wait, but definitely worth it in the end. Thanks again for all of the support and info that people have given me along the way!

Thanks! And yeah, nice job walking out on that deal. Anything over MSRP is just not worth it IMO. I paid well below MSRP ($41,823) for mine, including dealer fees, before tax.

Thanks agent. Glad I walked. Got lucky and found another one that is allocated to another dealer. Much better service levels and very excited. Should arrive in three weeks and I am driving out of several states to go pick it up. I'm stoked to be an almost owner. MSRP but giving me more for my 2010 Limited trade. Very Happy with experience so far. Now I need to figure out if I should drive it back without dealer detail.

Seat covers installed!!! The photo doesn't do it justice, but the gray piping and logo actually matches pretty well to the cement.

Fox DSC suspension and tires going on next tuesday.

Installed the hood deflector and low profile window valances yesterday. Suspension install tomorrow, and hopefully have time to make it to the tire shop. If not, tires will have to wait until Wednesday.

New member here (although my third 4Runner). Picked up my cement two weeks ago. Luckily, I had an acquaintance who owns a Toyota dealership and he was able to pull a few strings and hook me up. The very few of these advertised at dealers within three states of me were either sold or a 5-7k markup over MSRP.

I have a Southern Style Offroad slimline bumper on order and we have installed a few other accessories---need to paint the rails, etc, but I am not going to go too far because I already have a vintage FJ62 with plenty of stuff bolted on. I also want to mention for anyone interested in CanvasBack covers, they were nice enough to indulge my request for contrasting red stitching on black so that the covers really match the interior.

Hope you can see it well enough in these photos. It is a subtle effect, but really adds a lot to the overall look. My husband was not so sure when I ordered them, but once we got them--he was like "you were right!".

New KO2s 285/70/17 to go with the Fox lift. Waiting for the rear to settle and then adjust the front up probably an inch. Happy with the ride and results.
