Center Cap

I lost one of my center caps at the carwash about a month 1/2 ago. so i went to E-bay looking for just one. I typed in "2003 toyota 4runner center cap" and I came up with this find. Now, the similarities between this center cap and a 2003 center cap are almost the same. I thought this was the one I needed so I did not bother to go check the ones I currently had on the 2003 SE .

I won the bid and now i am the proud owner of a center cap which does not match the rest.


Could some one tell me for which year 4runner this center cap belongs to?

This is the description of the center cap in e-bay.

"THESE SILVER CAPS ARE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT CAPS THAT CAME OFF OF NEW TOYOTA 4 RUNNER WHEELS THAT WERE TAKEN OFF THE CAR FOR A SET OF 20" WHEELS AND TIRES. THEY HAVE BEEN DRIVEN ON AND ARE NOT BRAND NEW AND MAY CONTAIN SOME SCRATCHES. HOWEVER, THE CAPS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION AND NOT CRACKED OR BROKEN!

THESE CAPS WILL FIT CURRENT TOYOTA 4 RUNNER AND MAYBE OTHER MODELS BUT YOU WOULD NEED TO CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER"

This led me to believe the center caps were from a NEW (03-06) toyota 4runner.

Does your spare tire have its own center cap? If it does you could just use that one in the mean time until you find a replacement.

Also be aware that the SE models get a different center cap than the 17" rims that the limited/sr5 rims use. Maybe that cap is for the limited/sr5 rim???

I looked, but I saw that the spare uses the center of the wheel to reel in the spare tire to the chassi.

I think I found the right center cap, but some of the photos taken for items on e-bay are deceiving.

Here is a pic of the new one i will bid on soon. After the dude takes a pic side by side of the one above and this one.
