center console extra plug?

I just removed my headunit and installed an ipod adapter.
it was extremely easy via...

i noticed however that when taking apart the center console there were 3 plastic plugs there?
one for the DAC - downhill assist switch.
one for the cigarette lighter.
and one more ? that goes to nothing?
what are those wires and can i tap into it for something else?
anyone know what i'm talking about?
