Center Console Lights....

I know that there are plenty of threads concerning the center console lights but mine is kinda freaking me out. Last night i had to remove the center console to install the RCA and remote wires for my amp. Everything went smoothly and i went outside this morning and for some reason only half of the display that shows the "Range" would light up. It displays all info but only half lights up.

I popped it back out and switched the neo wedge bulbs. Now neither side lights up.

I was very careful taking everything apart but i hope that for some reason i didnt mess something up. I noticed that i could see the filament broken on the bulb that was out to begin with. But now both sides dont light up.

you probably just broke the 2nd one when switching them, happened to me.

and since you already know how to switch em out itll be easy.

Ok. Thanks man. I was very careful but I had one of those bad feelings like I messed something up. Haha.

Im gonna hit up my local radioshack for those bulbs. When I switch them into the neo wedge holder, does + and - matter?

thats a good question. i never really payed attention to it when i put mine in. i dont think it does. i know when i dry tested them on a battery before installing it didnt. but i could be wrong. :shrug:

I put those bulbs in that you posted from radioshack. They are really dim. Not very bright. I'm pretty sure I bought the right ones. Any suggestion on what led bulb design I should use?

i have no idea on leds, i havnt done that mod yet. haha. im sure theres plenty on here about it though, just search diy LED swap
