Center dome light assembly wanted

Hi,

I purchased a 2013 4Runner Limited (with sunroof) and car came with a DVD player installed in the place of the center dome light. I do not want such DVD unit but need the dome light.
To my surprise Toyota sells the dome light separated in three parts: Plastic case, bulb and the electric wiring and connection. The problem is that the electric part cannot be purchased unless you buy the whole wiring system responsible of all the lights of the car.

Said that, I need the center dome light assembly in grey color. The whole system, plastic case and electric contacts where the bulb goes.

I searched on ebay and all the unit offered are for 4th generation or older.

If someone has one, or knows where can I find one, please let me know.

Best Regards

Rafael

Thank you, but #10 or #15 is the plastic part only. The electric part is not included and is part of the wiring system.
That's the reason I am looking for a used one

Unfortunately you may be out of luck there, a lot of the newer Toyota use a harness for the headliner and part of that harness is the dome light section. It's not usually meant to be disconnected.

Also you may find that once the DVD player is removed the hole is now larger than the original dome light fixture and the headliner has been damaged when installing the DVD player. That's been a common sight in my experience for most aftermarket DVD set-ups.

Ten years from now .....

.... Remember when you could buy cars with a DVD player in them?

I would try a junk yard.

no luck with junk yards seeking for 4unners...

Probably the same dome light assembly is used in other Toyota model. Can someone help me on this? Which other Toyota models shares the same dome light assembly?

Regards

Rafael
