Center Jack point on Skid plate after Diff Drop

I am wondering what solutions any of you have come up with in still being able to use your center jack point on your skid plate after a diff drop. My observation is that after using the toytexc diff drop that the jacking point no longer contacts the cross member of the vehicle. Any ideas on how to bring it back to being a practical jack point?

Figure out what the gap is and get a metal spacer made/welded to attach too the skid to fill in the gap

Yeah, I just bought an aluminum 4x6.5 by 1/2 thick piece on ebay. Its a blank so I think im going to drill and tap some holes in it and bolt it to the skid plate. The plate has a decent mounting platform for it so it should work well. We'll see.
