Start with the nut on the back, use 7mm socket to remove:
Now you'll have this:
Look inside the outlet. There are two black tabs sticking into two small square windows in the silver metal tube. On mine, one was already partially disengaged, so only one was engaged. Here is the engaged one:
Here is the one that's already disengaged and rotated away from the window:
I first tried pushing on the tab, but it was too stiff. So instead, I wedged a small screwdriver between the two cylinders to disengage the tab. Then I used a pair of pliers to slowly start rotating the silver tube while holding the outer black tube with my hands. Be
careful to rotate the tubes in a direction that will not re-engage the tab on the other side:
Once the two tubes start moving, just slowly work the black tube off the silver tube. Here is partial movement:
And now you're done:
