Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch anyone?

Just curious if any of you are running a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch in your 4R. I'm going to have to replace the one in my '99 soon and thinking about going this route. It'll be lifted on 33's, wheeled once in a while. I'm okay with it being overkill for my application but I don't want a ridiculously heavy clutch pedal feel.

Any input is appreciate. When I search it looks like all posts for 1st Gen applications.

No help on the Toyota's but I had one in my old chevy. It was less stiff the the factory borg and beck style. Very grippy and never smelled burned when crawling. The only thing I didn't like about it was it was on or off. Not a whole lot of feathering allowed

I read on here or somewhere that the centerforce dual friction are good clutches butmay not be the best for crawling. It seems to me that theyre either engaged or disengaged. More like a racing clutch maybe?

Got on in an FJ40 and been running it for over 10 years. Done most of the hot spots in the southeast states and it's been flawless. Only turning 33's, but we do some mild crawling. It has not made the clutch feel any harder to press. When it engages, it's ready to go. I feel it's a great option for trailing and it's been fine on road as well. Personal opinion, money well spent.

I'm not a crawler at all. I keep my trucks real clean. Honestly, more of a mall crawler that will see some logging roads, trails and the beach.

I don't mind doing an OEM replacement but if Centerforce DF is money well spent, I'd rather only take it apart once.

Have you consider Martin Crawler HD 1200lb pressure plate clutch. Ours has been in for little over a year with no problems.

No extreme crawlers here, we are your average trail, mud , snow, sand and some rocks. I have hung on the pedal occasionally with no slip or burning. Pedal feel/pressure is identical to a stock pressure plates which are 900lbs.

Having said that, put what you feel is best for your current and/or future needs.

Didn't think about it before, but with the 4runner clutch being hydraulic, pedal feel/pressure should be the same no matter which clutch goes in. The Chevy I had was mechanical as are the older FJ's
