Another 4Runner meet up!

Hey guys, after having a successful 4Runner meet up in Galveston last week, we're going to do another one in Marble Falls (west of Austin) Saturday March 17th!

Plan is to meet up here (Hidden Falls Adventure Park) around 8 AM:

$25 for an all day pass for drivers. $15 for passengers (more if you plan to camp, more details here: Hidden Falls Adventure Park)

Bring a lunch, your gear and a good attitude!

This was also posted in the Texas/OK forums as well (and reddit) but I got more traction from this forums the most, so I apologize for double posting. Just trying to spread word!

i will see about being able to go, but definitely going to try. looks exactly like my kind of park - all rocks and hills and no mud pits. should be a fun time. need to pickup my BFGs from craigslist before going though, i don't think highway tires are cut it at this one:laugh:

i'll see if i can get my dad to put a little bit of work into his 2dr tahoe so he can join us. haven't even seen that truck in over 4 years...

More than likely I'm just gonna go with my 3 korean tires and the other brand. should be entertaining with 2WD as well.

i've still got crappy walmart allseasons from whatever trap goon "fixed" up the car before selling it to me. a friend is offering to sell me his 4 bfg at's with 60% tread for he put on CL for $150, absolutely a no brainer.

It's been so dry this winter (officially the area is in a moderate drought again) that any rain of an 1" or so will get absorbed deep underground within an hour, no worries ! This will just keep the dust down.... :cowboy:

It’s official, I’m gonna be staying through Friday into Saturday! A guy with a sweet 98 4runner showed up today with a group of jeeps so naturally I had to meet him. I let him know about this meetup as he didn’t know about it, so we’re looking forward to meeting y’all.

You can't go wrong with that park! There are over 200 miles worth of trails, and nice camping grounds/cabins. I would recommend staying in the Old Baldy cabin. It's all the way towards the back where the trails begin. It's only $100 per night, but it sleeps 8 and has heat and A/C. There are several others just like it as well. I just prefer to stay there. It does have a newer community bath right next door with a tankless water heater, so a hot shower will always be ready for you! Great views from the top as well! Don't bash me for my Jeep...that's another passion I have. I'm about 3 1/2 hours north of HF in Fort Worth. We make that trip down there a couple times a year. Hope you guys are lucky enough to get some good weather! Word of caution...DO NOT enter the ponds!!!!! They have swallowed many many vehicles.

I’m pitching a tent next to a fellow 3rd gen. We have a group of about 6, all being jeeps except for us 2. So if y’all want to tag along the more the merrier! Just a word of caution: level 4 trails will **** you up if you don’t have at least 33” tires, locker and armor. I have all of that minus armor and I regretted it the moment I bashed my right side of the bumper in on a rock.
