I have just bought a set of TRD headers and would like to have them ceramic coated. Would any one know a good place to have them coated? prices? also I now have a set of OBX headers for sale if anyone is interested. I will ship or you can pic them up. the OBX headers are 304 stainless steel and come with all gaskets and have life time warranty. direct bolt on 99-2002 4runners and tacomas. will fit earlier models but you will have to weld a flange on to your cat.

I got a guy in Cumberland who could do a high temp powder, but when it came to headers for my hot rod, they all said to use high temp charcoal grill paint. These guys do this for a living, and they even recommended that over powder or ceramic.
I would be interested to know more about you experience with the headers, new and old.

You just spent a buttload of money so spending more for a coating is a bit much so I 2nd the grill paint which will do the job. Header wrap is another option that is cheaper than coating also.
Are you doing the install since it's a bear with that crossover pipe and some shops will do it but they'll charge you since it's not a quick job.
IMO headers are only worth the cost and trouble if you have a supercharger since from a driving perspective is you really can't tell headers are on a naturally aspirated 3.4.
They look cool on a mod list but very minimal performance gain will be realized and the HP peak is somewhere over 4000rpm.

we have a company called big gun exaust down the street from us that does a nice job w/ the coating. a set of inline 6 headers cost in the $250 range. looks good, doesn't burn off like paint. if you can't find anyone on that side of the country, you can give them a call, the turn around time is usually super quick. oh and i'ld do the black coating, the chrome look usually will tarnish w/ some heat cycles.

hey guys thanks for the advice. Ron I only spent 450.00 on the headers shipped to my house.I bought them off e-bay they are brand new. I guess that is some what expensive but its still 450 less than the dealer ship would have charged me not including shipping. I am planing on getting the supercharger with the URD up grades but have to do it one step at a time. I will consider the grill paint will post pics when done.
