1. I asked and was told Dealers would only certify their sales. I can see it could very per dealer??
2. Certifications are transferable with previous certified T4R, which are registered with Toyota.
3. Certified T4R are inspected closer but 160 checks?? You are charged for certification and needs.
4. The Certifying Ext/Warranties are in the hands of the selling Dealer vs Toyota after the initial new etc.
5. I was very surprised that Toyota d/n own any of the Dealerships or have any used warranties etc..
6. I was told certifying was a 500. Fee but the needed work and inspections were above the list cost.
7. A package came with the certification, ext/warr as no deductible at selling Dealer “too far away”.
8. IMO, what ever is needed/involved should be in the list price + TTL but that is not always true.
Do your homework and have some time. It took me 4 mo to find what I felt was a deal with questions now. That w/n probably be an issue unless some warranty work is needed.
