Ive 4 pin switch for my LED lights. 3 pins are no brainer: 1-positive in, 2-positive out to lights, 3-negative. 4th pin is for factory dashlight. The question I have about weather I can just jump 1 pin and 4 to have this lit all the time and will I get High illumination when button depressed and Low if off?

you can do it that way but its easy to tap into the dash lighting circuit. If you want it to dim with the dash lights the ground needs to be on that same circuit because the dimming rheostat is on the ground. If you want that bright light on at night then just do what you said.

Thanks. Should I look for dash light wire or trace back to fuse box? how about the switch right next to the one I'm installing, can I tap into illumination circuit from it?

Any switch that lights up with the dash lights has a green wire. That’s the illumination wire and you can tap into that.
