Changing fluids

I bought a used '97 runner about a year ago and I have only changed the oil on it. I have read threads on here about changing other oils such as transmission, read diffs, etc.

Can anyone give me any other information/links as to which oils I need to change and how often you are supposed to change them?

Also, how often do you change your oil?

Does every 3,000-5,000 miles seem right?

And yes, 3-5k sounds good for engine oil. There are a tremendous number of variables.
