Changing lights?

Ok, after 4+ years and 130,000 miles, my driver's side signal light/turning light has expired. The problem I have is getting to the fixture to change the bulb.

I thought I'd go ahead and change both as I leave them on all of the time and might as well start fresh but getting to them is almost impossible.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to get into the tiny space and remove the bulbs? I tried removing the battery but that doesn't help me get to the top-most light to change it.

Hi,
Remove those screws under the front fenders..and push that plastic forward, let somebody hold that plastic sheet, I don't know how it is called, or block with a wood. Meaning, you are going to work in front of the front wheels/tires, so twist the wheels to the max left or right in order to have an angle space depending which side you are going to replace..
The turn signal lamp assembly has one screw and a claw, the claw is located next to the foglamp and is hard to release. One hand will release the claw with aflat screw driver, while the other hand will pull the whole assembly out. Goodluck:cool: or, remove the headlight assembly(for me, it takes time) and have a clear view of the turn signal lamps.

Thanks but I think I described the wrong light!

The bulb I'm trying to change is high up front on the top. I thought it was the turn signal lamp but it must just be the running lights. (I don't have the full time lights and just leave the "extra" lights on all the time).

The lights above the high and low beam lights are what I'm trying to replace. It takes a midget with tiny hands to get up in there and turn them/remove the bulb fixture. It's so tight, we can't even see them but can feel. There seems to be metal just behind them and trying to work on them is very frustrating just to change a bulb. (The booklet demonstrates but doesn't show the lips/battery behind that space.

You mean the "Clearance Bulb"?
Mine are busted too...I have an illustration in the service manual, I'll try to replace mine..and get back here.
