Changing out CD player...

I am looking into changing my single disc player to a Tundra 6 disc in dash changer. Will this changer match up to my 2004 4Runner. Thanks.

If you have the standard 6-speaker system in your 4Runner, it won't work. I looked into putting one in mine a while ago, but found out it wouldn't work. They're the same size, but the JBL unit in the Tunrda, much like the JBL unit in the 4Runner, has a digital sound output.

so would the tundra stereo be an upgrade to our existing 4R JBL unit?

It should work with the JBL systems in the 4Runner, but I don't know for sure. All I was told was that the Tundra unit wouldn't work with the standard 6-speaker unit because of the digital sound in the JBL units of newer Toyotas.
