"Welcome to the forum by the way. Be sure to visit our sister forum pirate4x4 and tell them about your phenomenal method that is revolutionizing the way you leak fluid."

I've been here for over 8 years and Im never surprised by the attitudes of the power tripping mods here. Great way to destroy such a great community and forum.
Best way to interact with this site now is not to sign up and post and just do a google site: search, and let toyota-4runner.org bleed out adsense. Mods here are such ****ing *******s.
Congratulations. I’m not a mod here, but you can thank a mod for moving your original post from the 5th gen section into the correct area. You’ve been coming to this forum for an alleged 8 years but couldn’t figure out what the correct subsection for your problem is?

What did you expect to happen when you critique a proven repair method when the repair you failed at isn’t even recommended in the 3rd gen section? Your way leaks and is unnecessary in order to clean the screen in the reservoir. Removing the reservoir and putting cleaner of choice in it gets it just as clean as prying the top off it.

You haven't been here "over 8 years", you joined today, May 17, 2022.

If you don't like it here, you're more than welcome not to return.

If you do return I suggest a major adjustment in your attitude if you want to remain.

problem is the rez cap gasket is 20 years old, its hard to recurl the stakes/flanges backdown enough to seal that gasket, some rtv might have helped. also in the video, my 2.7 rez didnt have a diffuser, more like a sterno can with fine screen in the bottom. The stake dimples were to deep to try to pull it out any angle, I just cleaned in place.

Can you get a new cap or gasket? Toyota had the reservoir oring where it bolts in.

Thank you again mod for taking care of that user account. I appreciate it as no idea what the issue was but kinda sorta way out there when other members where just trying to help...:)
