Changing Rear Blinker

Hi everyone,
First time poster, and am the least car savvy person on here.

I am trying to change the rear blinker on the passenger side of my 03 4Runner. I have taken the plastic holder with the dead bulb out, but I can't figure out why I can't get the dead bulb out of the holder? Am I missing something here (probably)?

Welcome to the board!

Sounds like you have removed the bulb socket (from behind the access panel) by rotating the socket counterclockwise.

From there, the bulb is removed from the socket by pulling it straight out of the socket.
