changing rear wiper

Ok...I tried searching here and my owner's manual and came up with nothing (unless I did it wrong). Forgive me if this has been discussed.

I need to change the rear wiper on my 97. I bought a refill at my local parts store, but am a bit puzzled as to how (and if) it fits. Will it work or do I need to buy a different one?

what do u mean "REFILL" does you old whipper contact the window threw its whole motion?

"Refill" was the incorrect word. I bought a whole new blade. Yes it contacts the window through its motion. The rubber is just cracked and worn and doesn't clean well.

Assuming your '97 is the same as my '00, there are 2 screws that hold the blade to the arm. The replacement blade should have come with 2 new screws although you can use the old ones if need be.

Yep. It's the same...two screws (which have really developed a close relationship with the arm). Problem is the new one didn't come with new screws. It's just like a replacement for a normal windshield wiper. Only 13" long. Sounds like the guy gave me the wrong one.
