Hello all, I am wondering how neccessary the charcoal canister is?
My situation is that i broke the plastic end off the vacuum connector behind the intake so now I can't connect the purge end of the charcoal canister. The new part is very expensive like 260$ and there aren't any scrap yards with 4runners in my area. Also i suspect I may have to remove the intake.... Again which i dont't want to do since there are 400 vacuum hoses and I just went through that.
The 4runner is running well, should I leave it? Do I need to cap off the broken connector and lines?
Any help appreciated.
