This was the most extreme trail I have been on, I went on it alone (which was a bad idea) but I met many people along the way that were very surprised to see a 4runner on the trail. I didn't think it would be so hard, and if I didn't have a spotter I am sure my stock 4runner would not have made it. My spotter was able to get a few pics, but me and him were working on getting the car through the trail.

Wow!!! Nice Pics, I need to get off of myspace and learn how to post better pics here.

It's great when you can leave the city portion of your 4runner behind and treat it like the truck it is. I went to Joshua Tree and gave my Runner a beat down. It handled like a champ...like you mentioned I'm glad I had someone with me to get us through the tough spots.

Drive on!

I have a few more pics

Yeah there were a few times when the brush got close to the car, and killed my paint. My old 1990 4runner had a factory strip, its nice to have that decal back. :bigok:

That's cool. I wonder how my stock '97 would do up there. Only been through the gap in a jacked Bronco before. Also considering (eventhough a relatively simple trail) the old Mt. Lemmon control road :)

Well, I was able to finish the trail only with the help of my spotter, and I used the center diff locker a lot, ATRAC was also helpful at times. I think it is possible to do it if you have a good spotter. Try it and tell me how you did!!!
