CHEAP white LED upgrade!

i just received mine like 2 hrs ago and went outside and installed them (amazon ones from classy cars) wow for 23 dollars they light up pretty good jajaja the dome lights don't go in perfect the arrow shape is too tick for the holder but they stay up...will see how long they stay up ......i have 2 extra lights one the has 6 led's and one that has 9... i guess i''ll use them on the wifes scion
 
Hmmm, wondering if there are different ones. I got 2 sets of bulbs as seen in my pic 4 with 12 led's and 6 with 10 led's. I installed all 6 of the 10s in the doors and map lights and 2 of the 12s in the domes. I have 2 of the 12s left, all plug and play. Thoughts are for the price you can't beat them but I am a bit disappointed in the color as they are a bit more blue than I was expecting. I guess if I am truly not happy with them in the long run I could shell out the extra cash and get whiter ones, but for now they work.

That is different packaging than the ones I received. I also don't see the 3m board type lights with optional connections. Hmmm? On the color mine feel white to me but I'm no led expert. I love the change this cheap upgrade gave the runner. Even on overcast days it helps:)

Do you have a link for the windows always on modification?
 
It has been over a year now since I did this mod. So far all lights are still working. I assume at the same lumens...but can't be sure. Very, very pleased with this upgrade from pitiful stock lighting. Took another couple out to diner theatre and husband couldn't believe the well lit interior. Worth the investment and a simple mod anyone should be able to pull off if I could do it:)
 
I picked up this kit too except the slightly more expensive one with the reverse and plate lights. The kit is great for what it costs, but if I had to do it again, I would get the reverse lights separately. The ones in the kit do the job but others from VLED's will definitely give more illumination.
 
Cool, I had found those (finally) and was wondering. They are cheaper these days. I saw one guy in the comments there said a lot of people commented to him on his, and in a bad way, lol. Too bright?

As for the back up lamps, did they improve the output over stock a lot? Seems I read someone here involved in LEDs said they didn't do much. Hard to imagine they are not better tho...

VLED? is that someone here I take it?

I couldn't see any noticeable difference in the backup lights. But I didn't do a pitch black before/after comparison either. I will say though, all the other lights I was very impressed with.

VLED's is referring to where a lot of us get our LED's from: High Performance LED Car Lighting, Light Bulbs, LED Headlights, Taillights, Turn Signals, and Brake Lights

They are known for being a little more expensive but top of the line.

I may look into a aux reverse light setup. Sometimes, I just need the light. :) Reverse cam is on the list as well.
 
Just got my lights in today and installed them. Won't be able to tell how much brighter they are until it gets dark, but they definitely look much better than OEM. Super easy install, too!

Just got my lights today and the only ones that seem to work are the map lights. Dome, trunk and license plates do not light up. Shame because I'm very impressed with the map lights, much brighter than OEMs, just wished the others would work also. Did anyone else have any issues, I sent the seller an email, might be sending these back for a refund.

I bought this 10- piece set too, and installed it today. Easy and fast. Came with 2 extra bulbs (only need 8 for the two dome lights, two map lights, and four door lights). The extra two fit in the license plate spots though, which was a nice bonus.

They're all bright and very white, no blue tint.

I got those exact ones and I can only make the map light ones work, all others will not lit.
