Cheapest way to fix rear hatch lock

It appears someone tried to break into the back hatch and destroyed the cylinder. Now the key wont even go in. I would like it fixed and keyed the same as my current key. What I dont want is to give up my first born to get this done. Whats the cheapest way to fix?

You may be stuck between a rock and a hard place, I don't know if even the dealer can get you one that will work with the original key, but I have been wrong at least once before!!:noidea:

Call different locksmiths and get some estimates

I have the same issue currently. I went to the dealer and they told me all they do is call a locksmith to come do it. They did say he could match the new lock-core to your current key to keep them all the same. They didn't give me a hard estimate but ballparked it around $400...

I've yet to do it because $400 isn't worth it to me yet, but I'd definitely just call a locksmith and cut the middle man (dealer) out of it.
