Check Engine back on

Hi All:
I had a problem when it was very cold on my 2007 4Runner Limited, V6.
the Check engine light came on, and my mechanic indicated that it indicated a camshaft position sensor. He cleared it and it stayed off for a while.

The Check Engine came back and this time I got the codes:
P0016

as well as
C1201
C1209
I think these may be related to the VSC lights coming on as well.

can anyone comment on the code, and recommend the best actions for me to follow?

One further thing is that both the times the light came on I had not let the vehicle warm up very much.

I'm really hoping for a touch of advice on this, as I live in a rural area, and as such don't have any toyota dealerships around and don't want the local mechanic recommending the wrong thing.

I think the C1201 and C1209 are just incidental to the P0016 code... i.e. fix the P0016 issue and the other two codes will go away.

The other thing that I noticed is that my mileage has dropped.
I have only filled up three times, and the weather has been very cold, but the milage has been lower with every fill. Could this indicate anything?
I guess I feel it is a camshaft position sensor, but have read about oil pathways being clogged as well.
Any help would be appriciated.

Hi again

I called a dealership about this, P0016 code, as it is over 4hours away from where I live.
They indicated that it was most likely the ECM, and quoted me over $1000.
Does this not sound strange to everyone?

Again any input would be greatly appreciated.

Check this out. P0016 is crankshaft-camshaft correlation. (So not just position of the camshaft, but position of the camshaft in relation to the crank) My guess was bad VVT sensor, and according to this, it could be a cause of P0016.
