Check engine, VSC OFF, VSC TRAC, Traction control lights out of nowhere

I just got in my car after work and it’s 20 degrees out, started the car and my check engine, vsc off, vsc trac and traction control lights were all on. I shut the car off disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the lights would not go away. I carefully drove home and nothing seemed off
But I don’t know why these came on all of the sudden but I really don’t like the fact that they are on
My car has not recently been attracted to any scanner gauges or anything
This happened once before and all I had to do was restart the car and it went away
If it makes a difference my maintenance light came on yesterday because it’s tome for me to get an oil change
Does anybody have any idea what may have happened?

Sometimes the brake-light switch needs replacing. Easy, do a search here if you determine your going to pursue that and need more clarification.

Tightened my gas cap and let battery sit unplugged while I replaced my brake light switch
Don’t know which did it, probably my gas cap since there is no resistance to unscrew it so I’ll get a new one tomorrow or the next day

If the 4th gens are anything like the 3rd, it may be your master cylinder, I had the exact same symptoms on sub-freezing mornings only. If it is, heads up, dealer quoted ~$3k just for the part alone. I found a rebuilt one on ebay for $400 and it's held up. I had the exact same thing happen about 6 months ago. Bought a new gas cap and presto, problem solved. No lights/issues since.
