Check these out (headlight mod)

Hey guys, just thought I'd share the new mods for my head lights. They're pretty badass. I have the original assemblies so I asked him to clean the outside up, strip and paint the interior, add halo's (which are so bright), and outfit it with LED's.
Its very nice, the Halo's run amber during the day and white at night. They also flash amber with the turn signal.
I had reservations on the LED's. I was worried they wouldn't work well with the projectors I have. Nonsense, they're brilliant. And, the LED's are as bright or brighter than the HIDs, no warming up, no ballast

Thoughts?

OP: What LED bulbs are you using in the hi & low beams?

all that work and no hid projector retrofit, kind of pointless for all that work added. should of done a retrofit when everything is apart.

Personally, I feel like Halo's belong on BMW's and LED Strips belong on Audi. :yield:

Thanks man. The halos are morimoto xsb, I was told they're the newer version. They're so bright it's hard to take a picture of. They kind of fade on when power is applied.

The bulbs are heise h11, the parts list calls them he-h11 LEDkit.

Originally I had planned on going with an HID retrograde but I had a few reservations about the ballasts, and my projector. I found a shop in Cary that specializes in these kinds of installs. He had some new LEDs and we just popped them in. The owner was as surprised as I was with the clarity and output. I feel like the LED was a much better option. Price, output, and reliability, you can't beat it.

I tried to upload a daytime video but couldn't. Does this forum support videos?

You'll probably just have to embed the video from YouTube. You can't upload it like you can a picture.
