Checking in from Oregon

This is my third runner in 18 years, 2015 Trail Edition. Never used one up yet, but I do like that new car smell. Seems like they just keep getting better and better. I use mine for hauling boats and crappy river roads, besides being my daily driver. Hope to glean a few tips as I transition this ride into the ultimate fly fishing rig...

You can see what I started with and a bit of the exterior details. Still plenty to do, but focusing on the interior storage next. Runner's First Ride.jpgRunner Front Low.jpg

Hey man,

Great looking rig!

I live in TN and just got back from flyfishing out in Bend.. amazing state.

I have faith that your rig has some feesh and stanky waders in its future.

Congrats on your purchase! Good looking rig. I just picked up my first runner, an 03 LTD. What part of the state are you from?

Saawweeeeet. I admit, I pretty much only liked my 3rd Gens, but the later model ones are growing one me. Also, Oregon rocks--was out there for 10 days in July. Congrats.

What kind of tires are you running? Do you have a lift on it?

Sorry for the delay responding... Didn't get any notice of a post.

No lift, but thinking of a shock change in the near future. I have changed out the rack to a Gobi, but other than that I've spent free time fishing... I've only ever used BFG All-terrains (3rd 4Runner) because they can handle the crappy Deschutes River road without flats.

Laid up for 6-8 weeks after a little hand remodel, but pretty much fished every week right up to surgery last week. Kind of part of the deal since I own a fly shop. I did cheat a little yesterday and did a photoshoot for Lincoln-Merc. with a rod in my hand. Thankfully they didn't make me drive their Navigator, I just had to look cool in waders... Here's updated photo.
